10th: Colin Farrell and Amelia Warner
Singer and songwriter Amelia Warner was married to actor Colin Farrell in 2001 from July to November. They married in Tahiti when Amelia was only 19 years old. At the time the musician who records under the name “Slow Moving Millie”, was starring in the movie “Lorna Doone” alongside actress Kate Winslet and met Colin at the premiere of the movie in London and from then they quickly became an item.
Whirlwind romance
Although this could have added to Colin’s profile of a “bad boy”, it was Amelia in fact who separated from him. Their whirlwind romance lasted only four months, the Irish actor saying: “I had a brief liaison with the notion of permanence.”
The British singer had a good influence on Colin, according to his mother “…when he was with Amelia he was very sweet. He was from a nice family and was a lovely young man, polite and well behaved. I can only assume that his “bad boy” behavior is to do with his career, which seems to be taking off. He is probably putting it all on.”
Heartbreaking end
Recent revealing from Amelia, tell that the beach ceremony was not legal and that they did it symbolically “It really wasn’t this secret wedding that no one was invited to. It was lovely, it was silly, it was sweet but by no means was it a serious thing and I think my mum thought it was quite funny.”
She also said that it was devastating for her when the relationship ended: “It was a very intense and passionate relationship. It was heartbreaking when it ended.” The couple remained friends.
Life after the divorce
Amelia is currently married to actor and model Jamie Dornan known for his role as “Cristian Grey” in the hit movie “Fifty Shades of Grey”, and have a baby girl together.
As for Colin, he has 2 sons, one with model Kim Bordenave and the other with Ondine costar, Alicja Bachleda-Curuś. The two young actors with promising careers got carried away at the time, today they are not making a big deal out of it.
9th: Jennifer Lopez and Cris Judd
Jennifer Lopez and professional dancer Cris Judd married back in 2001. They first met when the Latina bombshell hired Cris to choreograph her video dance of “Love Don’t Cost a Thing” and quickly had instant chemistry. But instant doesn’t cover lasting though.
A big payoff
“His love is all I need most of all”, the singer said a couple of weeks before she filed for divorce from Cris. An interesting thing about her marriage with Cris is that, the professional dancer took off the marriage with a big payoff. Apparently it doesn’t have to be a long marriage before you take a settlement from Jennifer of almost $15 million after nine months of matrimony.
J. Lo. didn’t wait for nobody when she accepted the diamond engagement ring Ben Affleck gave her a couple of months before her divorce was even finalized. And we all remember how that turned out.
The circus wedding
Cris has recently opened about his brief marriage to Jennifer saying that although he would expect their privacy been breached and that it makes it tough. He recalled that their wedding “was a circus. I think several people got arrested trying to climb up a mountain… trying to sneak in. We actually rented the airspace”. He also said that this was not the reason for their break-up “Unfortunately, it just didn’t work out”.

In the same year she began dating and married singer Marc Anthony which whom she has twins but by 2011 the couple announced their divorce. She dated until 2014 former back-up dancer Casper Smart. Fortunately Jennifer and Cris hold no grudge against each other, both of them saying that they are friends today.
8th: Pamela Anderson and Kid Rock
What could be fancier to Pamela Anderson than getting married on a yacht? Probably the location that was St Tropez, France. Pamela Anderson and Kid Rock married in 2006.They made it official in August at a courthouse in Beverly Hills because it was not legal to marry in St. Tropez without at least one month residence. The two started dating in 2001 and even were engaged in 2002 but they reconciled their relationship in 2006, when they actually married.
Bikini wedding
For the wedding ceremony on the yacht, Pamela wore a white string bikini and as for Kid Rock he wore a white t-shirt and a baseball cap. Some would say that would be underdressed but then again, there’s the bride.
Among the guests were model and actress Cindy Crawford and David La Chappelle was the one escorting Pamela to the aisle.
They spent the honeymoon in Detroit in August but by November Pamela would already file for divorce from the rock star, stating the classic “irreconcilable differences”.
Passion and romance
Back in 2006 Pamela was really enthusiast by the idea of marrying Kid Rock saying: “…is awesome. It’s great. Really fun.” Kid Rock himself said about the Baywatch star: “Yes, I am marrying the girl of my dreams. We are registered at Wal-Mart. Thank you for your support!”
Talking about her new love, Pamela told People.com: “I paid off a poker debt with sexual favors, and I fell in love. It’s so romantic.It’s romance.” And she seemed really sure this time would have been a charm: “I’m finally getting remarried … it’s been a whirlwind … spontaneous but well thought through.” All we can say is that indeed it has been a whirlwind with Pamela’s marriages, but never well thought through.
It turns out Pamela actually taught us a few things about marriages from her attempts. It takes more than passion and romance to make a successful marriage. Who knew a boozed-filled wedding on a yacht would not be the secret basis to a lasting marriage?
7th: Nicky Hilton and Todd Andrew Meister
Nicky Hilton and business Todd Meister knew each other since childhood and they actually planned to get married a long time before they decide to do it quickly in the celebrity way at the Las Vegas Wedding Chapel. It seems that even though this was not a rush decision it certainly didn’t turned out to be a wise one.
The same philosophy
The son of the wealthy Robert Meister is in the money business management and an old friend of Nicky. In other words he is a young man with the time and money to hang around the Hilton sisters. Todd proposed weeks earlier before the event but those close to them say this way it was more intimate this way.
A long-time friend said at that time: “Todd will dance all night, he’ll jump on a plane at the last minute and go anywhere to have a good time,” “I think Todd and Nicky share the same philosophy-live for the moment.” Their wedding song was “Whitney Huston-I Will Always Love You”. Among their guest were Paris Hilton, Nicole Richie and Bijou Philips.
What went wrong?
The rocky couple filled for an annulment two weeks later. What went wrong? Probably the hasted way to get married and as they both said in the annulment, the distance. While Nicky was mostly in Los Angeles, Todd was in New York. In this case their estranged time spent after the wedding help the couple to clear their minds towards their Vegas stunt.
Not to mention Nicky was only 21 years old at the time, while Todd 31, so we might say Nicky had time since then to get passed parties and settle down to marrying banker James Rothschild on August, 2014.
Famous for his also short marriage to Elisabeth Taylor, Nicky Hilton’s grandfather experienced the same kind of marriage as his granddaughter and in the spirit of inheritance Nicky married after three months of dating Todd and as a result it ended in only 85 days.
