Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Martin are no longer a couple. The two started dating in June and after four months they ended their relationship. Although they have been going strong as a couple, rumor has it that Jennifer wasn’t quite comfortable with the on-going friendship of Chris and actress Gwyneth Paltrow.
Former relationships always get in the way of new ones
Chris and Gwyneth were married for ten years and have two children together, Apple, 10, and Moses, 8. It seems that the friendship of Chris and Gwyneth was the main reason that made Jennifer get out of the way but neither Chris is much of a saint either.
Chris is trying to maintain his relationship with Gwyneth since she is the mother of his children but when he started dating Jennifer, Gwyneth’s jealousy got in the way. Being used to have all of Chris’s attention drawn to herself, ex-wife Gwyneth obviously still has a lot of control over him which isn’t quite desirable to prospective girlfriends.
Shortly after Jennifer broke up with actor Nicholas Hoult she started dating Chris and even though they seemed like a strong couple, Gwyneth’s sudden comeback into Chris’s life got a little too much for Jennifer who decided that she wouldn’t compete for Chris’s attention anymore.
Recent spotting of the the two
Although Chris is realizing that he had something special with Jennifer saying back at the beginning of October that he sees his relationship with Jennifer going the distance, it doesn’t look like the two are going to get back together since Jennifer is enjoying the single life while Chris was spotted at the amfAR Gala with Gwyneth as his date, acting like a couple. Gwyneth introduced Chris before his performance and named him “father of the year”.
Whether Chris is going to patch up things with Gwyneth we shall see in the future, as for Jennifer one thing is for sure, it doesn’t look like she is going to be a competitor with Gwyneth anymore.
