Claudia Schiffer stated, “In order to become a supermodel one must be on all the covers all over the world at the same time”.

Born in 1970, Claudia is a German model and the designer of her own collection of clothes, Claudia Schiffer Cashmere.

Schiffer grew up in a small town, Rheinberg, and had some shyness issues as she was growing up and taller than everyone else.

She dropped everything that made her feel uncomfortable when, at the age of 17, Claudia was spotted in a nightclub by the boss of Metropolitan Model Agency, Michael Levaton. Schiffer quit her earlier dream of becoming a lawyer alongside her father and signed up with Levaton to become a model.

After finishing her studies, Claudia began working as a model. The early 1990s shows us a Claudia who is starring in the highly appreciated by the public Guess? Jeans campaigns. Some might even say that Claudia made the Guess? name even bigger around the world.

After other magazines appearances, with the cover of British Vogue by Herb Ritts being the most famous one, Claudia was selected to be the new face for Chanel. Schiffer was the first model to make it on the cover of People, The New York Times, Rolling Stone and Vanity Fair.

These are the “easy” steps Claudia took in order to be one of the “Big Five” Supermodels at that time, the early 1990s.

Claudia Schiffer was involved with a large number of celebrities, early in her career. People like Richie Sambora (guitarist of Bon Jovi), Prince Albert of Monaco and Peter Gabriel. She was not serious about her love life until she met magician David Copperfield in 1993. The two of them were engaged for 5 years, until 1999.

Few years later, in 2002, Claudia married film director Matthew Vaughn. They have three children: Caspar Matthew de Vere, Clementine Poppy and Cosima Violet, they youngest of them.
