World Championship Titles: 3
Finishing Move: Jackhammer
William Scott Goldberg, known to the wrestling world as Bill Goldberg, or just Goldberg, is a former football player who turned to the scene of wrestling by chance.
After taking a serious injury and recovering, Goldberg was spotted power lifting by Lex Luger and Sting who told him to try professional wrestling. Although at first he wasn’t interested, he soon became the only undefeated world champion according to WWE.
Amazing winning streak by Goldberg
Throughout his career, Goldberg managed to keep a 173 winning streak in singles competitions, a streak questioned by other wrestlers:
However, one thing is for sure, Goldberg won the title of WCW World Heavyweight Champion in July 1998 against Hulk Hogan and the title of World Heavyweight Champion in WWE against Triple H, in September 2003, in a match where he put his career on the line.
Goldberg is also a two-time WCW United States Heavyweight Champion and a one-time WCW World Tag Team Champion, title won with Bret Hart by his side.
Goldberg’s future careers after wrestling
After Goldberg’s career in wrestling ended, he switched to another passion of his, martial arts. However, this time he wouldn’t be a player but a commentator for the Elite Xtreme Combat organization. Since its closure, Goldberg shifted his career again, this time on the DIY Network, on the Garage Mahal show.
