Note from the author: This top represents only his favorite games<\/strong> that fit more or less into this genre. I understand that this will not suite everyone\u2019s preferences<\/strong>, but I do believe that there\u2019s no problem in stating that you\u2019ll agree with at least some<\/strong> of the games that are presented here. Also this top is made only for the PC Gaming<\/strong> as I don\u2019t own any console.<\/p>\n

Open-World represents freedom<\/strong>. The freedom to do everything you want<\/strong>, explore every<\/strong> little secret<\/strong> that the game has hidden, straddle away<\/strong> from the main story<\/a> into the depths of the game\u2019s universe<\/strong>, losing hours<\/a> as the land unfolds in front of you as you keep wandering further<\/strong> and further away.<\/p>\n

We meet this sub-genre<\/strong> in almost every corner<\/strong> of the gaming universe. We\u2019ll find it in action games<\/strong> (Grand Theft Auto, Red Faction), racing games<\/strong> (Need For Speed, Driver) and of course in RPG\u2019s<\/strong> (The Elder Scrolls, Two Worlds). Often, these kinds of games have told us great stories<\/strong>, shown us entire worlds, both fictional<\/strong> and<\/strong> based on real places<\/strong> and left us with a craving to know more about their universe.<\/p>\n

In this article<\/strong> I took the liberty of grouping the best of the best<\/strong> (in my opinion, at least) in one big list of 10 titles. For each title I will offer a little description<\/strong>, present the pros and cons<\/strong> of the game and a view of the game, each of them recorded by yours truly. To avoid spoilers<\/strong>, some<\/strong> of the games<\/strong> will have recorded only its first 1-2 missions<\/strong> to not reveal too much<\/strong> of the game, since I prefer to leave the depths of it to be discovered by those that would like to try the products presented here.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, due to my PC being a bit too low-end, I<\/strong> was forced to miss several<\/strong> new games<\/strong> like Dying Light<\/strong> and Watch Dogs<\/a> from the list of entries.<\/p>\n

I would like to mention that my reviews<\/strong> will not be based<\/strong> almost at all on graphics<\/strong> because I<\/strong> honestly believe<\/strong> that the graphics don\u2019t make a game superb<\/strong>, but the story, gameplay<\/strong> and voice-acting<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

So, without further introduction, here are the Top 10 Open-World Games<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
