Dakota Johnson\u2019s presence<\/strong> is the strongest<\/strong> from the whole movie cast, although she plays<\/strong> the most naive and fragile character<\/strong>. Her expressive face<\/strong> manages to give a vivid response<\/strong> even when she has no line. Her face says the story for her. She develops a new<\/strong> and improved Anastasia Steele throughout<\/strong> the script and her character<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The English-lit major<\/strong> is asked by her roommate a simple favor<\/strong> and that is to interview<\/strong> the cold and powerful business man<\/strong> Christian Grey. Nothing prepares ether one of them for each other. Although Christian Grey<\/strong> seems always ready<\/strong> because he always think how can he get what he wants<\/strong> first but she sure does want right away Anastasia\u2019s lower lip that she continually bites<\/strong> during their interview. He<\/strong> will eventually get Ana through<\/strong> his BDSM lifestyle<\/a> but meanwhile let\u2019s point out the prominent moments.<\/p>\n

The Interview Scene<\/h2>\n

\"interviewChristian Grey\u2019s office as well as his house<\/strong> seems<\/strong> to Anastasia Steele as a sleek corporate headquarters<\/strong>. Judging by the lack of mess<\/strong> she associate it<\/strong> with signs of power, although whatever need<\/strong> he might have<\/strong> could be easily stored in some empty space or he could easily obtain<\/strong> it, due to his resources, staff and money<\/strong>. The erotic room is once again perfectly ordered<\/strong>, a sign of the thrill for absolute power<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Coming back from the interview<\/strong> Anastasia tells her roommate<\/strong> about Mr. Grey<\/strong>, describing him as \u201cformal and clean<\/strong>\u201d. She is influenced by his well-controlled environment<\/strong> that he created around him<\/strong> with modern touches of hard and shiny<\/strong>, his office, in comparison to her apartment<\/strong> in which she lives with Kate. His decorative cleanliness gets Ana to mistake<\/strong> it for his physical and mental cleanliness.<\/p>\n

During the interview<\/strong>, Christian develops interest<\/strong> in knowing more about Ana. He wants to know which author<\/strong> made her <\/strong>fall in love with literature and even offers her<\/strong> an internship at his firm<\/strong> when he finds out she will graduate soon<\/strong> and want to move to <\/strong>Seattle.<\/p>\n

Anastasia says<\/strong> with a coy attitude<\/strong> that she probably wouldn\u2019t fit in there: \u201cLook at me.<\/em>\u201d and it\u2019s Mr. Grey\u2019s response<\/strong> that heats up<\/strong> their already created tension: \u201cI am.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n

She gets her heads up from Mr. Grey<\/strong> but a college student that has as a hobby<\/strong> \u201cbooks<\/strong>\u201d won\u2019t<\/strong> even know<\/strong> what hit her<\/strong> if someone so powerful and experienced as Christian Grey decides to put his hands on her<\/strong>. Although she doesn\u2019t need the attention<\/strong> from this corporate CEO<\/strong> she is disturbingly attracted to him<\/strong>, devouring every word<\/strong> that comes out of his mouth.<\/p>\n

The Stock Cable Scene<\/h2>\n

\"hardwareAfter the interview, Christian decides<\/strong> it\u2019s time to get to know Anastasia<\/strong> because he realize that she might never<\/strong> have the courage<\/strong> to say or do<\/strong> anything to him<\/strong>. So he takes matters<\/strong> into his own hands. He visits Ana in <\/strong>the hardware store<\/a> where she works.<\/p>\n

Shocked to see him<\/strong> there, although he was the only thing<\/strong> she could think of since she left the interview, she tells him<\/strong> \u201cWhat can I help you with?<\/em>\u201d \u201c<\/strong>Do you stock cable ties?<\/em>\u201d<\/strong> Christian asks<\/strong> in addition to probably fill<\/strong> in his home stock<\/strong>. The whole talk is in a flirty yet shy tone. While Ana tries to hide the excitement<\/strong> in her voice, Christian<\/strong> appears as calm as always<\/strong> and, obviously, as intimidating as always.<\/p>\n

Ana jokes<\/strong> saying that he has all the items<\/strong> who would make the perfect serial killer and as always, Christian tortures her<\/strong> with an even calmer \u201cNot today.<\/em>\u201d On a funny note Christian seemed impressed with Ana\u2019s skills<\/strong> of handling rope<\/strong> or maybe just around rope, asking her if she\u2019s been<\/strong> in the girls scouts before.<\/p>\n

Ana recommends<\/strong> him what kind of masking tape to buy although she remains suspicious<\/strong> of the fact that a corporate CEO<\/strong> doesn\u2019t seem the handymen type, especially a young entrepreneur like him. After<\/strong> a few awkward and tense hand touches<\/strong> by mistake, Christian leaves<\/strong>. This makes Ana even more fascinated<\/strong> about him.<\/p>\n

Because of his constant appearance<\/strong> in her life, he sends her a gift<\/strong> that she cannot accept<\/strong> but doesn\u2019t get the chance<\/strong> to send<\/strong> them back<\/strong>. After her roommate, Kate, is devouring every bit of the story<\/strong> they both decide to go out for drink<\/strong> to celebrate the end of their finals. After a few drinks, drunk Ana calls Christian<\/strong> to say she can\u2019t accept his gift<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

He immediately goes to the bar<\/strong> where she was and brings her back<\/strong> to his hotel room in order for her to sleep her drunkenness, waking up with no pants<\/strong> whatsoever but with an almost naked Christian Grey<\/strong> in front of her eyes. This scene is quite romantic and cute if you consider the way he took care of her<\/strong> and not took advantage<\/strong> like her friend Jose did but overall he adds another reason<\/strong> for her to completely fall in love with him<\/a> and for him to obsess even more with her.<\/p>\n

The First Sex Scene<\/h2>\n

\"christianTheir first attempt<\/strong> to have sex<\/strong> for the first time is after Christian shows<\/strong> her the \u201cRed Room of Pain\u201d. After that Christian explains to her<\/strong> all his contract negotiations and what each and every one of them implies. Ana<\/strong> seems to agree to the term<\/strong> but confesses that she never had sex before<\/strong> and leaves Christian<\/strong> both shocked<\/strong> and intrigued.<\/p>\n

After a tense discussion, Christian decides to \u201crectify the situation<\/strong>\u201d grabbing her<\/strong> and bringing her to his room<\/strong>. The scene starts<\/strong> off with kisses from Christian<\/strong> and a light fluff<\/strong> that covers Ana\u2019s skin<\/strong> reminds us of a similar first sex scene<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Remember when Sebastian, a bad boy has sex with Annette, a virgin played by actress Reese Witherspoon in \u201cCruel Intentions\u201d? Sounds a bit familiar<\/strong> doesn\u2019t it? It seems that guys with \u201cbad boy\u201d<\/strong> reputations have a thing for \u201cdeflowering\u201d and for some reason it seems more precious<\/strong> to them that a girl untouched<\/strong> by other fellow male<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The scene is shown manly in silhouettes, the music slowly plays<\/strong> while Christian thrust into Ana<\/strong>. There aren\u2019t fireworks, nothing screams scandalous<\/strong> that is if you don\u2019t get shocked about pubic hair<\/strong>. Overall the scene is mostly how every girl wishes to be on her first time<\/strong>. The next morning she makes breakfast<\/strong> while dancing and Christian surprises her<\/strong> saying \u201cYou are in a good mood today.<\/em>\u201d Well with the Christian Grey special treatment<\/strong>, we bet she was.<\/p>\n

\u201cMother\u2019s Home!\u201d<\/h2>\n

\"ChristianAfter Ana\u2019s<\/strong> first time, she wakes up in a good mood and quickly spreads it all around including to Christian. They take a bath<\/strong> and the two try to reenact the night before<\/strong> making the appearance for the so-known gray tie<\/strong>. Here is a scene <\/strong>that will get viewers<\/strong> to where they want<\/strong>. A bit of bondage<\/a>.<\/p>\n

He ties Ana\u2019s hands<\/strong> together with the tie and asks her<\/strong> to keep them above her head<\/strong>. A scene of cunnilingus is about to start but Ana keeps moving her<\/strong> hands making Christian to force her hands<\/strong> to stay up.<\/p>\n

Ana laughs<\/strong> a bit about it but finally gets up and dresses<\/strong> to meet her<\/strong>. His mother<\/strong> doesn\u2019t expect to see Ana but is happy to meet her<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In another scene when the two go to dinner with his parent<\/strong>s, Ana announces Christian<\/strong> that she is going to visit her<\/strong> mother in Georgia. In the book<\/strong> we see a more aggressive Christian<\/strong> that forces Ana<\/strong> into having sex<\/strong> in the boathouse<\/strong>, whereas in the movie they simply talk<\/strong> and have an argument<\/strong> by the pool house without any sex<\/strong> involved. In the end she promises to this about the contract.<\/strong><\/p>\n

From this scene we can depict Ana\u2019s happiness<\/strong> when she finally enjoys herself, that is until Christian\u2019s inner<\/strong> dominant side come to life and forces his way around things again. As far as the bondage it is lightly presented<\/a> but it prepares the viewers<\/strong> for the next scenes<\/strong> that will be harder to embrace.<\/p>\n

The Discovery of the Red Room<\/h2>\n

\"FiftyI guess it\u2019s safe to say that most of us<\/strong> might have a room<\/strong> containing our hobbies<\/strong> in which we might nurture them as long as they are<\/strong> within in the safety<\/strong> of our homes.<\/p>\n

It can be a game room with<\/strong> an Xbox or air hockey<\/strong> or why not a beer fridge<\/strong> but for Christian Grey<\/strong> it\u2019s nothing more than a Red Room of Pain and however we will try to describe<\/strong> it it\u2019s best if you just see it for yourself. Nothing could complete the image of a dark leather<\/strong> combined with red room<\/strong> that make your<\/strong> imagination<\/strong> fly off the charts just by the very first glimpse at it.<\/p>\n

When Christian<\/strong> finally reveals his play room to Anastasia<\/a>, he informs her<\/strong> about all her potential exit strategies<\/strong> she has if she doesn\u2019t feel comfortable<\/strong> anymore with it. \u201cIt\u2019s important you know that you can leave at any time,<\/em>\u201d he replies. \u201cI meant what I said. The helicopter is on standby to take you whenever you want to go.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n

As she commands, the door opens<\/strong> and Ana is left in shock<\/strong> and confused taught, only managing to whisper an \u201dOh my God.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n

The toughest part<\/strong> for Dakota was indeed the scenes<\/strong> from the Red Room<\/strong>.\u00a0 \u201cThere\u2019s a scene<\/strong> in which Christian uses a flogger on Anastasia<\/strong>,<\/em>\u201d the actress described. \u201cFilming a sex scene is not a sensual<\/strong> or pleasurable environment. It\u2019s really hot \u2014 not in a steamy, sexual way. It\u2019s just sweaty<\/strong> and it\u2019s not very comfortable<\/strong>. And on top of that, my hands and legs were tied, and I was blindfolded, and I was being hit with this bizarre tool<\/strong>.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n

It\u2019s rather odd that we see the room<\/strong> through Anastasia\u2019s eyes<\/strong> and we tend to have the same reaction as she had. It makes us chuckle<\/strong>, it surprises us<\/strong> and it even outrages us<\/strong> but we can\u2019t help but admitting that we don\u2019t immediately reject it<\/strong>. It has its own allure that makes us fascinated<\/strong> by the things that might go on there.<\/p>\n

The Contract Reading<\/h2>\n

\"ChristianDakota manages give her character a funny side<\/strong> and she is no pushover when it comes to contracts. The scene in which Dakota and Christian read the<\/strong> contract\u2019s obligations and conditions<\/a> is mainly the reason why<\/strong> it made to our list<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

While they sit looking through every detail<\/strong> and experience that she might not agree with. She finds a sentence that doesn\u2019t resonates with her: \u201cFind anal fisting. Strike it out.<\/em>\u201d The timing and dynamic<\/strong> are absolutely gold to the scene<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
