From model to supermodel and even television personality, Tyra Banks, 41, is a name that is well known around Hollywood. Starting her modeling career at age 15, Tyra got noticed real quickly<\/strong> for her mesmerizing eyes and luscious curves. But it wasn\u2019t always like that for Tyra. When she was only 11 years old she was considered ugly <\/strong>and she lost 30 pounds in three months.<\/p>\n

Tyra was the only African American woman on the cover of GQ magazine<\/strong> and Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue<\/a> and in 1997 she was again the first African American on the cover of Victoria\u2019s Secret catalog, winning the award for \u201cSupermodel of the Year\u201d by VH1.<\/p>\n

Smize<\/h3>\n

The model-turned-business-woman has her own trademark<\/strong>: \u201cSmize\u201d which means \u201csmiling with your eyes\u201d. Her runways rival was supermodel Naomi Campbell <\/a>that was reported to convince Karl Lagerfeld to ban Tyra from Chanel\u2019s catwalk.<\/p>\n

She has been romantically linked to singer Seal<\/a> and actor Will Smith and from 2001 to 2004 to basketball player Chris Webber.<\/p>\n

TV appearances<\/h3>\n

\"TyraShe also made several appearances on TV<\/strong> series such as \u201cFresh Prince of Bel-Air\u201d, \u201cThe Price is Right\u201d and movies like \u201cCoyote Ugly\u201d and \u201cHannah Montana: The Movie\u201d.<\/p>\n
