It\u2019s safe to say Idina Menzel<\/a> is a huge star<\/strong> being the voice behind one of the biggest songson the last few years, \u201cLet it Go<\/a>,\u201d from the hit soundtrack<\/strong> \u201cFrozen\u201d<\/a>, she is also a Tony-award winning actress for her performance as Elphaba on the Broadway smash \u201cWicked<\/strong>.\u201d And has a Tony nomination for her Broadway musical If\/Then. So why Adele Dazeem?<\/p>\n

\n\"IdinaActor John Travolta<\/a> managed to mess up Idina\u2019s introduction at the Oscars 2014 and by her own words she remained stunned for eight seconds<\/strong> but gathered all her forces and went on with her performance. Before the unfortunate introduction Idina “was very Zen” as she prepped to croon the \u201cFrozen\u201d anthem in front of hundreds of celebrities and millions of TV viewers<\/strong>. “I had all of these visuals set for myself, the meditations.”<\/em> But then, upon Travolta’s intro? “That threw me for a minute,”<\/em> she admits, laughing. “But then I just got back on track and reminded myself of where I was, and what a beautiful moment it was.”<\/em><\/p>\n

The mixup was shortly immortalized in the form of a parody Adele Dazeem account on Twitter and it inspired the John Travolta Name Generator in which \u201cTravoltafies\u201d<\/em> any name that\u2019s typed into it.<\/p>\n

Still, no one was more embarrassed than Travolta himself, who released a statement via his publicist following the incident, which reads<\/strong>: \u201cI\u2019ve been beating myself up all day. Then I thought … what would Idina Menzel say … She\u2019d say, Let it go, let it go! Idina is incredibly talented and I am so happy Frozen took home two Oscars Sunday night.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

But the famous actor wasn\u2019t quite over the incident and did a little extra<\/strong>. He sent Idina a special gift to the location of her new musical Broadway \u201cIf\/Then\u201d in New York. \u201cHe sent her a big, gorgeous bouquet of flowers to her dressing room. It was HUGE<\/strong>. It was his apology to her. It was clear he felt very bad about it. And by the size of the arrangement it was an obvious \u201cforgive me please\u201d gesture,\u201d<\/em><\/strong> a source commented. What a classy and thoughtful gesture from the actor and obviously Idina not only forgave him but was overwhelmed.<\/p>\n
