The teenager actor starred alongside <a href=\"http:\/\/6toplists.com\/transcendence-2\/\" target=\"_blank\">Johnny Depp <\/a>in What\u2019s Eating Gilbert Grape, a part that got him great reviews and an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor. He took leading role in The Basketball Diaries and the modern day version of Shakespeare\u2019s Romeo and Juliet which had a huge success. And if that wasn\u2019t enough to strike out from his edginess he also starred in the movie<strong> The Great Gatsby<\/strong> and in 2013 he appeared in the hit movie<strong> The Wolf of Wall Street<\/strong> for which he received a Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy and for the fourth time an Academy Award nomination.<\/p>\n<h3>Personal life<\/h3>\n<p>As for his personal life, Leonardo has been known for his on and off<strong> relationship with<\/strong> supermodel <a href=\"http:\/\/6toplists.com\/gisele-bundchen\/\" target=\"_blank\">Gisele Bundchen<\/a>, but got separated in 2005. Soon after he had a relationship for several years with model Bar Rafaeli and in 2011 he dated actress Blake Lively.<\/p>\n<p>The actor is also implicated in environmental issues and an <strong>activist for gay rights<\/strong>. Leonardo\u2019s talent and determination got him a rare opportunity of successful career as a child actor and as well as an adult.
