Ladies and gentlemen on no. 9 we have Prometheus. \u201cThe Beginning\u201d of the Aliens franchise. It tells how the original \u201cAlien<\/a>\u201d, created by Ridley Scott, came about on a distant planet.<\/p>\n

Great actors for a great movie.<\/h3>\n

It stars a colourful pallet of actors<\/strong> including the likes of Noomi Rapace (from the original Swedish version of \u201cThe Girl with the Dragon Tattoo\u201d), Michael Fassbender (\u201cX-Men: Days of Future Past\u201d and \u201c12 Years a Slave\u201d), Charlize Theron (no introduction needed), Guy Pierce (\u201cMemento\u201d, \u201cL.A. Confidential), Idris Elba (\u201cThe Wire\u201d, \u201cLuther\u201d), and others.<\/p>\n

\"Prometheus<\/p>\n

It was worth the wait…<\/h3>\n

Ridley Scott created a whole universe unifying \u201cBlade Runner\u201d with the \u201cAlien\u201d world, in a way taking him 30 years to build the ground works for this film. The CGI was breathtakingly beautiful<\/strong> and somewhat realistic, but even though the 3D effects were stunning there were a few criticism for the lack of character development and for the deep philosophical and creationist connotations.<\/p>\n

The plot takes place some 30 years before the events of Alien<\/strong>, scientists Elizabeth Shaw<\/a> and Charlie Holloway discover a star map among the remnants of several ancient Earth cultures. Seeking the origins of humanity,<\/strong> they journey aboard the spaceship Prometheus and arrive on a distant world in the Zeta2 Reticuli system, the same region of space that the planetoid from Alien is found. There they discover the remains of an advanced civilization<\/strong> (the same race as the dead pilot from the derelict ship in Alien) who were developing horrific biological weapons which could cause the extinction of the human race.<\/p>\n

I won’t go into detail because I can’t do that without using spoilers, but try it yourself.<\/p>\n
