PlayStation 4 (officially abbreviated PS4) is the fourth PlayStation console. The model is part of the eighth-generation consoles. It was officially announced on February 20, 2013 on the PlayStation Meeting in 2013. Although the design of the console was not submitted until 10 June at the E3 2013.
