Rosie Huntington-Whiteley is an English beauty, a model and an actress. She is best known for being one of the Angels of Victoria’s Secret since 2006 and in 2011 for replacing the actress Megan Fox in the movie “Transformers: Dark of the Moon”. This striking beauty is currently the face of Burberry and is gaining more and more attention.
First catwalk
She first appeared in a Levy’s jeans commercial at age 16 and in the following years she walked on her first catwalk alongside Naomi Campbell and since got noticed by photographers tipping to be “the next Kate Moss”.
She replaced model Agyness Deyn for Burberry’s campaign in 2008 and in 2010 she posed nude for Pirelli Calendar.
Rosie’s look has often been in the center of attention for many fashion photographers, one of them, Rankin, dedicated a book to her called “Ten Times Rosie”. Maxim magazine ranked her No. 1 in their “Hot 100” list and again for FHM “World’s Sexiest Women” poll in 2011. In 2012 she was named by “Elle Style Awards” as top style icon.
Movie performances
Although she was awarded as “The Female Star of Tomorrow” at the CinemaCon Awards for her performance in the movie “Transformers”, she received negative criticism, her acting being regarded as “dull” and was actually compared to Megan Fox, but in the worst way: her “acting makes…Megan Fox look like Meryl Streep in comparison”.
But as a positive comment she was compared to an early Cameron Diaz for her “natural and winning performance”. Maybe she is still a newbie and still has a lot to prove.
We are waiting for her next performance in the movie “Mad Max: Fury Road” that is yet to release in 2015.
As her all time fan, photographer Rankin said, Rosie is “really is the model of the moment. She’s the actress of the moment. She’s definitely going to become something much, much bigger.”
