Humanitarian, Harvard graduate and Academy Award Winning Actress, Natalie Portman is all of those things. Natalie isn’t just a beautiful, talented actress but also a very smart and remarkable person. In 1994 she got her big break as Matilda in the movie The Professional. And who doesn’t remember her performance as Padmé Amidala in the Star Wars prequel trilogy?

The movie Closer brought Natalie an Golden Globe Award, an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress in 2005. The movie V for Vendetta was also a big hit for Natalie for which she won Constellation Award for Best Female Performance and a Saturn Award for Best Actress.

In 2008 she starred in the historical drama The Other Boleyn Girl alongside actress Scarlett Johansson and the same year she made her directorial debut with the segment New York, I love You.

My Blueberry Nights brings us a more mature and full-bodied Natalie and in 2009 she plays in the drama film brothers alongside actors Jake Gyllenhaal and Tobey Maguire but it’s 2010 that brings her critical success with the movie Black Swan for which she lost 20 pounds and took rigorous dance training and was rewarded with an Golden Globe Award and an Academy Award for Best Actress.

Natalie is currently married with her Black Swan ballet dancer Benjamin Millepied, whom she married in 2012 and gave birth to their son in 2011. She also dated American folk singer Devendra Banhart.

A career free of tabloid drama and embarrassing personal scandals, the beauty maintained to keep an admiring self-control and even in her early acting career she always seemed more mature then her age or her petite appearance would suggest. We could say that Portman is the child star who was never a child but just an amazing person and actress.
