Lily Aldridge was a Victoria’s Secret model in 2009 but in 2010 she was officially made an Angel. Lily comes from a fashion orientated family, with a father as an English artist and a mother that was once Playmate of the month with a very proud daughter. She also has two sisters that are models and a brother which is a fashion photographer.
Model career
At only 16 years old she started modeling for Abercrombie and Fitch and soon after became the cover girl of Spanish Vogue. Since she joined the Angels in 2010, she walked on 6 Victoria’s Secret fashion shows.
She is part of the new generation of Angels and has appeared on the cover of British GQ and in an editorial for V magazine alongside Candice Swanepoel. On top of everything she launched “Lily Aldridge for Velvet” in 2013, which is her own line of clothing.
In 2011 she married singer Caleb Followill and gave birth to their daughter in 2012. She loves soccer and rock concerts and is a close friend to Candice and singer Taylor Swift.
On the 50th anniversary of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, Lily made her debut by posing for the cover of the issue alongside Chrissy Tiegen and Nina Agdal. The beauty has also modeled for Bobbi Brown, Smashbox Cosmetics, Gap, Tommy Hilfiger, Levi’s and Accessorize.
Next generation Angel
This stunning beauty may be at the beginning of her career as a Victoria’s Secret model but she sure shows a lot of potential and could easily one of the next generation. With her own fashion line she’s now branched to Victoria’s Secret.
Talented with a look that doesn’t say too sexy or teenager, Lily has, in our opinion, the lady look and a rare sophisticated sexiness that is absolutely needed in the Angels elite.
