Jamilla Deville is one of the first and best professional pole dance instructors. She started pole dancing in 2000, with an extensive background on other forms of dance such as adagio, trapeze and silks. In the same year of 2000 Jamilla performed at the Sydney Olympics Opening Ceremony as well as at the National Circus and Theatre Conference.
After taking the first title of Miss Pole Dance Australia, in 2005, she became the face of X-Pole Australia. One year later, in 2006 Jamilla created the International Pole Federation, an organization meant to help pole dancers.
Jamilla’s passion for pole dancing grew stronger when she opened her own school, The Art of Pole. There she has the chance to pass on her knowledge about pole dancing to other passionate students.
After opening her own school of pole dancing, Jamilla received invites from other schools to instruct there as well. She has toured with her classes across the world, going to USA and New Zeeland twice, Singapore and Thailand, with words and rumors of an European tour to follow.
